Dr. Phillips joined Vista Radiology in 2022 after completion of a residency in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio – receiving Commendation for Excellence in Medical Student Teaching and Nominee for Teaching Excellence.
He proceeded to become chief of the interventional radiology program at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Phillips also spent an abundance of time with the cardiology department earning him accreditation in Cardiac imaging in addition to his Interventional accreditation. It was during his time at Cleveland Clinic that he also discovered a passion for Interventional Oncology that ultimately led him back to Knoxville under the mentorship of Dr. Roesch and the remainder of the interventional team at Vista Radiology.
Dr. Phillips received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and Master of Business Administration, where he was treasurer for Business in Medicine – from Lincoln Memorial University, DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, TN. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Dr. Phillips holds membership in professional societies such as: Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine, Radiological Society of North America, Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and Business in Medicine Club.
